The Annual Vintage Launch Auction Event:
Guests are collected from their homes in formal wear to a secret destination for the Annual Auction where the entire vintage of arguably the best Pinotage in the World is sold off in one evening.
Every aspect of the product is unique with the greatest regard for quality and exclusivity. The bottle is an imported Saverglass creation, called Bordelaise 1855. It is a reproduction of the original Bordeaux bottle. The closures are hand selected Amorim corks, the twelve bottle wooden cases that the wine comes in are custom made, stackable and sturdy, and the label a unique work of art from well known designer Haumann Smal.
The 2019 Le Vin de François Auction event was held on the Cape Town Foreshore in the Zip Zap Circus Tent. Guests were entertained by a group of magical performers and artists on a journey of extravagance.
This event marked the eleventh function and was also the last to be held as the launch for this exclusive and sought after wine.
The 2018 Le Vin de François Auction event was held at the Old Tannery in Wellington under an open balmy night sky. Guests were transported to a Europe like feel with the cobblestones and bare brick surroundings contrasting pure decadence. Truly and unforgettable experience as we celebrated our 10th year of making Magic.
The 2017 Le Vin de François Auction event was held at two venues namely La Paris Estate and Ex Nihilo. This change of venue half-way through the event was a twist few people expected and set the scene for a memorable affair.

The 2009 Le Vin de François Auction event was held at Croydon Olive Estate. The remote location had our guests wondering where they were being whisked off to but the centre was transformed into a 1930’s “Speakeasy Club” making us all feel very posh.
Like a first born child, one seldom forgets the intense exhilaration of hosting the very first auction and I am sure all our guests will agree that this little spot in town at Bijou will always have a special place in our hearts. Magda Naude's very first auction and Bruce Roberton as chef. Two great legends but show must go on and honour their great lives in style, as they would have wanted us to, we will!
